Dorothy Pemberton

I truly love Downey as I have lived here all my life, attended Downey schools and
raised my family here. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters in
Computer Technology. My Real Estate license was obtained in 1985 and most
recently obtained my Brokers License. Being current in the industry is important
and therefore belong to a number of organizations including the Downey
Association of Realtors for 35 years, both the California and National Association
of Realtors and National Association of Notary Publics. My experience in real
estate started with working for a builder and property manager, so I have learned
from the ground up. As the escrow manager in this company, I learned all the
intricate details of closing.

The history of Downey is rich and the community takes pride in its award winning
schools, as well as strong community involvement. Properties are well
maintained, keep values high. We have our own police and fire department as
well. This is what makes Downey one of the most desirable cities in the South
Bay Area. We also have many organizations and churches that you can
volunteer with and support. Some organizations I belong to are; Soroptimist Int’l
of Downey, Assistance League of Downey, Downey YMCA, and the Downey
Symphony just to name a few. There are many opportunities for a person to get
involved and make a difference. This is why I consider myself your Downey
