The Lazy Dog Comes to Downey Dog Friendly and Doggie Menu

Published | Posted by Dorothy Pemberton

The Promenade in Downey would like to welcome it’s newest tenant, The Lazy Dog, a kid friendly Nu-American restaurant, to the family. “It’s exciting to become part of a new community for us, especially when we can create a space where people feel comfortable dining – whether it be for a casual bite amongst family or a celebratory meal with friends,” said Lazy Dog founder and CEO Chris Simms in a recent press release. As you enter the restaurant, it’s easy to see why this place has quickly gained in popularity amongst winers and diners of the area. The decor is beautiful, featuring rustic wood panelling and indoor trees creating a cozy, americana feel. It also features spacious outdoor seating including a fire pit, keeping you warm and a full bar for your dining pleasure. Their menu offers takes on American favorites like their roasted asparagus and bacon pizza or the butter glazed flat iron steak all of which are reasonably priced.

This is the 19th Lazy Dog to open for the family-run group of restaurants. It is located within the Promenade at 8800 Apollo Way. Operating hours are from 11am - Midnight Monday through Friday and 10am - Midnight Saturday through Sunday. Check out their website at www.lazydogrestaurants.com.
